CONCERT OF PRAYER OUTLINE

I. ASK FOR A SPIRIT OF REPENTANCE, WORSHIP AND INTERCESSION

Scriptures: Ezra 9:5-15; Nehemiah 1:4-11; Daniel 9:3-19; II Chron. 7:14

Leader: Prays for a spirit of repentance and intercession to be poured out on us.

Songs: "I Exalt Thee," "Holy Ground," "Spirit of the Living God"

II. PRAY FOR FAMILIES (HUSBANDS, WIVES, CHILDREN, PARENTS)

Scriptures: Colossians 3:12-21; I Peter 3:7-9.

Leader: Prays for the Spirit of Jesus to rest upon our homes and to bring about love, unity and forgiveness.

Songs: "Blest Be The Tie That Binds," "We Are One In The Bond of Love"

III. PRAY FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST (PASTORS, LEADERS, MEMBERS)

Scriptures: Ephesians 4:1-7, 11-16; Philippians 2:1-7; I Corinthians 12:12-13, 18-20

Leader: Prays for the Holy Spirit’s anointing and power to be poured out on those who lead His flock and for each of us to know and be the minister’s He has called us all to be.

Songs: "Have Thine Own Way, Lord," "There's A Sweet, Sweet Spirit In This Place"

IV. PRAY FOR THE COMMUNITY

Scriptures: II Corinthians 5:17-20; Jeremiah 33:3-9; Psalm 127:1

Leader: Prays for the mayor; city council; county officials; local judges; law enforcement and fire and rescue personnel; health care workers; teachers, news and radio broadcasters and others in local leadership.

Songs: "Make Me A Blessing," "Our God Reigns"

V. PRAY FOR NATIONAL AND STATE GOVERNMENTAL LEADERS

Scriptures: I Timothy 2:1-5; Psalm 82

Leader: Prays for the President of the United States, the Vice-president, their wives and families; members of the cabinet (not necessarily by name); supreme court judges; senators and congressmen at the nation's capitol; the governors of the 50 states; state legislatures; the judges of the land; the cities' mayors and city councils; those in military service around the world; law enforcement personnel.

Songs: "God Bless America," "Sweeping This Way"

VI. PRAY FOR REVIVAL THIS WEEK

Scripture: II Chron. 7:14; Psalm 85

Leader: Suggest going into small groups and praying for four things: (1) A Spirit of brokenness and humility to confess sin and disobedience; (2) A Spirit of love and unity among the church members; (3) A passion for the lost on the part of the church members; and (4) A Spirit of anointing upon the evangelist, the pastor and those who lead in the revival.

Songs: "Lord, Lay Some Soul Upon My Heart," "Come, Holy Spirit;" "Spirit of the Living God;" and ‘Revive Us Again."
